You Can’t Predict When Something Might Happen at Your Home

I have been talking about home security with many homeowners. I am working to gain some insight on the different ways that our homes can be threatened. One of the questions I asked everyone was if they had ever witnessed suspicious actions on their property. A robbery, broken windows, a suspicious person – anything really. Almost everyone had a story to tell. Many of the experiences led them to get a home security system. I have learned that Lake Forest Security is one of the best options.

One individual told me that he had been home for the afternoon, but left to pick his little boy up from football practice. After they returned home roughly 10 minutes later, one of the windows was shattered and things were missing from inside. He thought he had been watched, and the thief knew when he left. A different mother of three explained that she once opened the door to someone who said they were a salesman. After he finished speaking, he asked if he could come inside to talk it over with her. She said no thank you, and the man again replied by asking if he could still come inside and use her phone. Considering he was being persistent, she declined again and shut the door in his face.

All of us have had encounters with suspicious people and situations. Some are worse than others, like the first man’s experience. The information I am digging for will help me determine what encourages people to buy a burglar alarm. The woman said she opted to get one the very next day.

I have heard a ton of similar stories from other people. People never really know what might happen on a certain day. I am confident these two people did not wake up that morning assuming something unusual would happen later that day. It really stresses the value in always being proactive.
